Charleston Outdoor Festival

  • Charleston, SC
  • 3-5 p.m.
  • Instructors: Chris Stec & Scott MacGregor

Join Rapid Media founder and whitewater canoe guru Scott MacGregor (Canadian) and ACA Chief Operating Officer and Whitewater Canoe Instructor Trainer Educator Chris Stec (American) to see if both can paddle in the same canoe effectively. This course will provide differing yet hopefully sometimes similar viewpoints on how to efficiently work together in a tandem canoe. This course is open to all skill levels, provided you have an open mind and are willing to switch positions in bow and stern, eh?

This is great! I teach a level 3 course on the St. Croix River in Maine, which is an international border river between the US and Canada. I co-teach this course with a Canadian instructor who is certified through Paddle Canada. We frequently compare notes and perspectives from each of our affiliate organizations. Would love to hear your thoughts on this subject! - Scott Fraser, Washington County Community College, Calais, Maine.
