Freedom to Float Bill - Virginia

Freedom to Float BillFor the past several weeks, ACA Executive Director Wade Blackwood and Stewardship Coordinator Greg Rolf have been meeting in Richmond with various Senators and their staffs to support SB629, the 'Freedom to Float' Bill.

Blackwood also testified on behalf of paddlers in front of the Virginia Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Natural Resources last week, where the bill was approved by a 7-6 vote.

On January 30, 2014, the Virginia Senate Bill was voted on and defeated by the Senate (10-Y 30-N). To get a complete list of who voted, please click here
