Level 1-Level 2 Symposium and Instructor Updates
Share |

The ACA and the City of Rock Hill Active Learning & Living (A.L.L) Outdoors program are excited to offer our second symposium designed to address the specific needs of Level 1 & Level 2 Kayak, Canoe, SUP, and Rescue instructors.

This instructor update and symposium is your chance to increase the quality of the clinics and assessment courses you offer by improving your personal paddling and rescue techniques, learning new teaching methods for beginner paddlers, and enhancing your ability to assess the strokes and body mechanics of your students while providing them with clear, targeted feedback on their technique.

You’ll paddle and learn from Instructor Trainers and Instructor Trainer Educators that have extensive experience working with Level 1 & Level 2 students and instructors across multiple disciplines. We hope you’ll join us for this unique experience!

Why should you attend? Here is what some of the 2016 Symposium attendees had to say about their experience...

"THIS WAS SIMPLE AND EASY. Register online, show up, follow directions, have a great time with truly fine folks, and walk away with a lot of new ideas and knowledge."

"This symposium offered a great value in terms of time, money, and skills learned! The instructors and staff were wonderful and Rock Hill is a great place."

"This symposium really provided me with an opportunity to further develop skills and instructional techniques that I use regularly, but more importantly, challenged me to develop skills that I Never teach but Should. I realized that, as an instructor, you can never spend too much time on the water, practicing what you teach. Having the knowledge and experience of such a great IT, someone different from those I went through my IDW with, was exciting and very insightful. This may have been the first L1/L2 focused symposium, but I certainly hope it won't be the last!"
