The ACA has a beautiful family-oriented camp on Lake Sebago near Sloatsburg, New York, 32 miles north of New York City in Harriman State Park. It has been a facility of the ACA for over seven decades.

  • 15 Acres
  • Surrounded by water on 3 sides
  • 21 Cabins
  • 9 Tent Platforms
  • Bathhouse with toilets & showers
  • Lodge
  • Outdoor Pavillion
  • Swim Area
  • Boat Docks
The camp has historically been a magnet for paddling in the New York vicinity and has also been the training grounds for several large canoe and kayak clubs. The lake itself is 315 acres of powerboat-free pristine water. The camp is a "family camp" within the Harriman State Park which means that access is available to ACA members, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day from May 1st to October 15th.

Bylaw change that affects the Camp:

A change has been proposed to the Atlantic Division bylaws, which would move the Rental Cabins Committee from the Atlantic Division Committee and place it as a sub-Committee of the Camp Committee. This amendment will allow the two committees to work more closely together. Both committees manage different, but interconnected, parts of the ACA Camp at Lake Sebago. This change will enable them to coordinate activities.
