The Stewardship eNewsletter is an electronic publication of the ACA intended to provide a forum for environmental stewards, conservationist, and recreationist. Submitted works should contribute to the evolution of waterway environments. The eNewletter is not intended as a news source. Anecdotes of paddling experiences should be submitted only as preface/support to suggestions for methods/techniques discussed. Innovation and alternative viewpoints are encouraged for authors and reviewers alike. Submissions intended as discussion initiation papers should thoroughly present pertinent issues and present any obvious arguments for and/or against viewpoints introduced.
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to republish previously published works or extracts of more than 250 words and for submitting written permissions with their manuscript. Acknowledgement alone is not sufficient; if in doubt, obtain permission. Authors should exercise customary professional courtesy in acknowledging intellectual properties such as patents and trademarks.

Submitted manuscripts will be reviewed initially by the lead editor to verify that the work is within the scope of the eNewsletter and is otherwise appropriate. All manuscripts are subject to review by members of the Stewardship Department. Reviewing should be completed within 1 month. Authors will be advised of acceptance or denial of their work by email. The ACA reserves the right to reject any submission it believes is contrary to the educational, recreational or stewardship goals of the organization or the best interests of its membership.
