Zsolt Szadovszki

Department: Competition
Title: Sprint National Team Kayak Coach

Originally from Hungary, Zsolt has been involved with the sport of Sprint for three decades.

For 13 years, he was a professional athlete on the Hungarian National Sprint Team. In 1998, he raced in the Flat-water Kayak Racing World Championship in Szeged, Hungary and won 2 silver medals in the K4 – four-man kayak. Then in the year 2000, he and his kayak partner were in the double kayak (K2 500m) at the Hungarian Qualification race for the Sydney Olympics. This division was very strong and only one boat could qualify. The team that defeated us (by less than a half a second) went on to the Sydney Olympic games, winning gold.

Since moving to the United States, Zolt is based out of Hawaii and California, and has dedicated himself to the art of coaching paddlesports.

When not coaching, Zsolt can be found skiing, biking, running, hiking, playing soccer and practicing yoga.
