The Carolina Canoe Club is please to offer the ACA Essentials of River Safety Course during the Week of Rivers club festival. This safety course is open to all members of the CCC, and will be based out of Bryson City, NC Register online at: http://tinyurl.com/4nbxguxThe Essentials of River Safety and Rescue course lasts about 12 to 15 hours and will be physically challenging. It covers accident prevention and management, hazard recognition, self-rescue, boat-based rescue, wading, swimming, and basic rope rescue techniques.
