The inaugural SWAMP BOTTOM BOOGIE, a Three-Day River Race and Meet-up Paddle Adventure on the Pascagoula River will be held October 19 - 21. Created for serious paddlesport racers, river rats and adventure seekers, Swamp Bottom Boogie celebrates the wildness of the Pascagoula River as well as the history and culture of the people. SWAMP BOTTOM BOOGIE is intended to raise interest in clean water and healthy habitats for fish and wildlife.

The Pascagoula River runs wild – a free-flowing southeastern river bounded by over 50,000 acres of natural areas. You are invited for fun, camaraderie, adventure, bragging rights… racing or touring from the river’s head at the joining of the Leaf and Chickasawhay Rivers to where the River ends its run to the sea.
