Over the course of 1-week participants will build their own custom fit kayak, the F1, designed by Brian Schultz of Cape Falcon Kayak. The F1 is a fantastic, multi- purpose boat. The boat is 14' long and weighs in at a featherweight 29 pounds. A few of the highlights of this build including carving tenons on deck beams, steam bending ribs, and sewing on the nylon skin. The boat is finished with a two-part water-based urethane that is waterproof and super tough. These boats use high quality wood species that are strong and rot resistant, including: western red cedar, ash, and white oak. I couldn't think of a more perfect place to build a boat; we'll work hard by day and relax by the water in the late afternoon. Coordinator: Jon Richer For more information email Jon at jonricher@gmail.com Cost: $1500 + Season Pass ($65 for adults, $50 for seniors) Overnight Accommodations: If you want to share a cabin with other participants (cost will depend on how many arestaying in the cabin—approximately $60 for the week) RSVP: email: Linda Peterson: Surenoproblem27@yahoo.com by March 31
