Learn valuable Coastal Kayak Trip Leader skills in our L3 Training course while enjoying a 5-day San Juan Islands paddling adventure! This expedition-style course provides a hands-on opportunity to learn the skills needed to participate in an L3 Coastal Kayak Trip Leader Assessment. Participants will experience a blend of on-water training during this 5-day adventure, with the option of taking a CK Trip Leader Assessment on days 4-5. We'll cover lots of nautical miles as we explore the islands off Washington's coastline. This is a very hands-on experience for paddlers who wish to get the most practical skills possible from experienced instructors and trip leaders. Everyone is involved! You'll participate in packing, cooking and kitchen duties, camp selection/setup, and navigation/route selection as we journey through the San Juan Islands together. This trip includes camping in rustic sites on State Park islands while enjoying a week of skill-building with new paddling friends.
