This is always a fun course - as if we are kids playing with inflatable rafts in a pool.  You will be underwater briefly, climbing from the water into your boat several times, and wet for a good portion of the class. You will have to rescue yourself and others. There will be several people in the class who already know the rescues. Although the ACA curriculum requires no prerequisites, I would recommend that you can already perform forward, backward, sweep, and draw strokes. You most certainly may come solo but it’s better if the person you paddle with the most also take this course. You will need a PFD, whistle, kayak with fore and aft airtight compartments, paddle, clothing suitable for extended swims, and appropriate footwear. You will want to bring short and long tow ropes. Optional are a bilge pumps, skirt, and helmet. Course is $125.00. Will email you an invoice or deposit that you can pay online.
