LOVE the Lake Fifth Annual Memorial Paddle is
a paddle that will traverse the entire lake (approximately 32 miles) in
memory of Stephen Canaday and Peter Snyder, two paddlers who passed away in motorboat accidents on the
lake. The paddle will take place Friday July 11th at Mossy Point through Saturday afternoon and helps to raise awareness of the importance of on-water
safety and respect for the Lake's mixed-use recreation.
This year's memorial paddle will start Friday, July 11th from
the Mossy Point Boat Launch. It is scheduled to end on Saturday, July 12th in Shepard Park. List of the two-day paddle: Moss Point Boat Launch – Fri, July 11th Ticonderoga-->Silver Bay (approx: 10mi) Time: 3.5-4 hours 1pm – 5pm (Tents, dinner, 6:45-7:45pm - church service for those lost on Lake George at the chapel) Silver Bay Club – Sat, July 12th Silver Bay-->Bolton Landing (approx: 13mi) Time: 4.5 hours 6am – 10:30am
Lake George Kayak Company – Sat, July 12th Bolton Landing-->Diamond Point(approx: 6mi) Time 2.5-3 hours 11am – 2pm Diamond Point (Beckley's Boats) – Sat, July 12th Diamond Point-->Lake George Village (approx: 3mi) Time: 1.5 hours 2:30pm-4pm
