Coastal Kayak training will prepare you for travel by kayak close to shore, but in places that are exposed to wind and waves. You will develop and refine critical boat handling, self-rescue, and assisted rescue skills, as well as learn about navigation, weather, trip preparation and planning, and group safety needed for safe exploration of the Great Lakes shorelines. This course will take place on Lake Superior, but the specific launch site will be selected based on the conditions on the day of the course. More information will be provided after sign up.
